IFR Diary, Day 15: Monday, Sept 13

Polishing

This is the last day of skull-numbing work. To make certain that
I've got all the Monterey area approaches down pat, we do them all
at least once. We do the NDB at Watsonville twice to practice circle-
to-land procedures. We fly the DME initial approach fixes for the
Salinas ILS and the Watsonville VOR. We do air work in the area,
then I fly home on partial panel and do the localizer into
     Hayward.

Charles has scheduled a stage-check for me on Friday with a different
instructor in order to get a corroborating opinion on my readiness
for the check ride.
